1. Introduction

Welcome to Maal-Tijd. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online food ordering platform at www.maal-tijd.com and associated subdomains and custom domains (the "Platform").

• "User": Any person accessing or using the Platform
• "Customer": A user who places an order through the Platform
• "Restaurant": A food establishment offering products through the Platform

4. Platform Description

Maal-Tijd is a multi-tenant marketplace platform connecting customers with local restaurants. We provide the technology for menu presentation, order processing, and order management.

5. User Eligibility

By using our Platform you confirm you are at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter into contracts, will provide accurate information, and will not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

6. Orders and Payments

6.1 Placing an Order

When you place an order you make an offer to purchase from the Restaurant. Your order is subject to acceptance by the Restaurant, which has the right to refuse or cancel any order.

6.2 Pricing

• All prices are in Euros (EUR) including VAT where applicable
• Delivery fees and service costs are displayed before checkout
• Prices may change; we reserve the right to correct pricing errors

6.3 Payment Methods

Online payments via Mollie (iDEAL, credit cards and more), cash on delivery, or cash on pickup (where available).

7. Delivery and Pickup

• Delivery availability depends on the Restaurant's delivery zones
• Estimated delivery times are approximate and not guaranteed
• You must provide accurate delivery address information
• Pickup orders must be collected from the Restaurant at the specified time

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Restaurant cancellations: You will receive a full refund to your original payment method (5–10 business days).

Customer cancellations: Once an order is confirmed by the Restaurant, cancellation may not be possible. Service fees may be non-refundable.

9. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Activities

You agree to provide accurate information, treat delivery personnel with respect, pay all charges associated with your orders, and not use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, or disruptive purpose.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Under GDPR you have rights including access, correction, deletion, and portability of your data.

11. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order in question.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands. As a consumer you may also use the European ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
